Gray Hawk? (1 Viewer)

Request help on the ID of this raptor. I took the photo yesterday at Brazos Bend State Park, about 45 miles southeast of Houston, TX. I was somewhat confident in the ID of a Gray Hawk, but then I looked into the field guide and saw that their range doesn't extend that far north. Request confirmation or correct ID. Thanks.

Mississippi Kite indeed. The very long wings visible in the first picture rule out Gray Hawk. I think the latter would have a proportionately larger head, too.
