Common Whitethroat? in southern Ghana mid of March (1 Viewer)

The image of a warbler was shot on Brenu Beach Grasslands near Cape Coast / Ghana. Already there the bird remind me of a Common Whitethroat (Sylvia communis). Maybe a young male. The wing pattern seems quite convincing. And there is a hint of a pale white eyering. The books, as „Birds of Western Africa“ (Helm Identification Guides) by Nick Borrow and Ron Demey, mention this bird more for the north. Am I wrong?
Please help for ID.
Cheers
Johannes
