Please help ID feather - NJ, US (1 Viewer)

That's a primary, not a tail feather.

-slightly curved overall with a smooth, continuous curve.
- the vanes are asymmetric: much longer on one side of the rachis (stem) than the other.
- long rachis below the start of the vanes

All of New Jersey is easily close enough to water for gulls.

Color pattern looks good for the outermost (or nearly) primary of something like a herring gull, but I can rarely tell gulls apart when I'm looking at the whole bird...

update: I don't know if it's diagnostic, but looking at feather photos online, the ring-billed gull matches that dark line through the distal white spot:

Thanks everyone. I originally thought perhaps it could be a Gull feather, but I'm not the best with feather ID. Yes, we have plenty of Gulls inland here. I appreciate the effort by all.
