This bird was seen near a coastal lagoon 50 miles northeast of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. When I first saw it I thought it was a Common Raven, and I guess it still may be. However it sure looks like a Groove-billed Ani that I saw in Costa Rica. If so, I can find no other reference to this bird being sighted in Baja.

Hi Jim, I've never seen one in person but it looks like a Groove-billed Ani to me.
 
Ditto to Groove-billed Ani.

Sibley shows a scattering of green dots (= extralimital records) in California and Baja California, so they do move around a fair bit. Well worth reporting this one though!
