Lake Cerknica in Early October? (1 Viewer)

I'm getting conflicting information on the internet about when exactly Lake Cerknica is typically dry. I was hoping to go there briefly in the beginning of October, but I'm guessing it would be desolate of birds when dry. Any locals or occasional visitors have any advice?

The answer, this year, apparently, was that there was a little bit of water left. A nasty cold front rolled in the night before I went, however, and everything was frosted over. It was -3deg C and I wasn't terribly motivated to spend much time outside my car. Observed lots of Robins, some Blackbirds, a few Jays, two Grey Herons, and one Egret that I didn't get close enough to identify. Mostly uneventful. Sub-freezing temperatures were not on the ten-day forecast when I packed for the trip. Oops. Lesson learned. Until I forget again.
