I don't know Northumberland at all well - but I'm impressed!
Given that I have not spent a lot of time birding and that the time of year may not be the most productive I'm pleased to have seen 86 species during our visit.
Today was the highlight. I went to Druridge Pools - a first for me - and Cresswell Pond. Highlights included:
Garganey, little gull, little stint, avocet, curlew sand and glossy ibis. There were also some whooper swans and loads of turnstones, ringed plovers etc.
I'll try and copy my day list from eBird:

At risk of sounding like an agent for Puffin Cruises (I'm not!!), as you are birding in that area of Northumberland I'd recommend the boat trips from Amble around Coquet Island for roseate tern and Atlantic puffin.

I've done the Farne Islands with Billy Bishop in the past but we didn't have much time on this occasion. But thanks for the tip. We may well go that way again. I'd love to go in winter when Holy Island is teeming with birds.

A couple of record shots attached.
