Adapting Canon A640 To Nikon Fieldscope 30x Wds Eyepiece (1 Viewer)

If you have the aluminum camera adapter for 52mm filters, (the silver bit, obtainable from Abes of Maine), a two inch PVC pipe coupler with the internal stop ridge (the white bit), and a bit of ingenuity plus careful measurements, you can mate the items as shown in the attached photos.

Niel, the vignetting is nil. I used the three screws on the camera adapter and dial vernier micrometer to place the setup exactly on axis. Having done that, I filled the area between the camera adapter and the scope adapter with epoxy and after it hardened I cut off the exposed screws. I am able to attach the camera to the scope by adjusting just the bottom screw of the three employed. Works like a charm.
