We live on a large (14 acre) pond in southeastern Connecticut. Today, it came to me that there were Belted Kingfisher, Great Blue Heron, and Hooded Merganser out there. All fish eaters! What manner of fish is hatching this time of year?

Thanks,
Michael

None hatching, but plenty coming up from deeper water where they've been resting / 'hibernating' for the winter to start feeding at the surface as the spring sun starts warming the water.
