I need help identifying a pigeon (1 Viewer)

While visiting my grandmother at the hospital (She is fine and has been since discharged from the hospital.) and a bird out side on the ledge cought my attention. I went in to take a closer look and it was just normal pigeon (grey medium adult pigeon) but the back of his neck was bright sparkling purple. There were no other birds around. So my question is what type of pigeon was it.

feral pigeon's have a purple flash on the back of their necks and a greenish colour too as do rock doves but my guess would be feral

As has been said, this iridescence on the neck is absolutely normal for Rock Pigeons.
