Frog NW Russia

Our local Common Frogs are all in their pools and sporting their bluish breeding colours.

There are other frogs at a nearby lake not showing the bluish cast, is it possible to say if they're a different species?

I've included a shot of both frogs.

the brown one is a Rana arvalis too! probably a female - they dont turn to blue.
you can determine the species by the contrasting marbled flanks.
