Farne's Puffins in late August ? (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I'm going to be in the Seahouses area on the August bank holiday.

I'd love to see some Puffin's but do forum members think that will be too late in the season to see any ?

Thanks

Somebody may correct me but generally the bulk have gone by start of August. I guess there may be some stragglers but couldn't say for sure on that.

Sorry, too late. There might be the odd one or two hanging around on the sea, but there won't ba any left on the islands that late.

Next year, try May or June :t:

That's a shame but thanks guys, I'll certainly try and get up there earlier next year.

If you can it is worth it, spectacular. Not just the puffins though great speed of seabirds. Only problem is can be very busy, understandably. I always go mid week and outside holidays.
