Vanguard Endeavor II 10x42 deal

Vanguard has just started $80 rebates on the Endeavor II 8x42 and 10x42.

Yesterday, B&H Photo showed the 10x42 at $400 and $320 after mail in rebate. Today they are showing them at $320 and $240 after mail in rebate.

They have not done the same with the 8x42. I don't know if it is a mistake or what.

Here's the link:

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...2C159790319899

The 10x42 are very highly rated by Allbinos:

Why would any genuine seller only provide a photo of the box and not the bins?

Edit - Additional Comment: This post was in response to a post from Denco that indicated new in box optics from Zeiss are sealed. Apparently the Denco post has subsequently been deleted.

I do not think Zeiss or Swaro have sealed boxes. I do not recall seals on the SF or Conquest boxes or a couple of SV EL boxes. The Zeiss Terra plastic case may have been taped to keep the plastic cover in place. The Nikon EDG boxes also look unsealed after a brief look at the stack.

I have bought several Canon Powershot line cameras and those boxes were not sealed.

Bruce: I concur. The only binos that I have received in a sealed box were from Vortex. Peter.

Optics Planet 10% Discount Code

Optics Planet is having a 10% off promotion which ends March 7th, 2017 11:59 CST.

The code at checkout is TICKTOCK good on orders of $50 or more. Max discount is $1,000. In the past, the code works on most but not all products due in many cases to manufacturer limitations. They sell a variety of outdoor items.

Thanks everyone, I've been using this forum for reference for a month. I couldn't decide on a decent lightweight bin. This sale at REI helped.

Zeiss Terra ED 8x32, extra 25% off until March 20, brings it to <$200USD
https://www.rei.com/product/101860/z...-32-binoculars

NOTE: I'm not sure why the Terra ED's are on sale everywhere (do you?) - but this price is a little better than most, if you're an REI member.

a lot of places are closing out the 32/42 terra line because a restyled model is being introduced....the optics are the same...just a different look and now comes with a case instead of just the draw string bag....

BTW....I think you will like them.....

B&H is advertising Zeiss Conquest 8x42 for $850 on Facebook.

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/

As it happens, I'm in the market for such an optic. Is this a good site?

B&H is an excellent site. Well known store located in NY and run by orthodox jews. I would rank it up there with the top tier of online retailers. Adorama is another very similar site/store.

I got ripped off on eBay a while back. Perhaps things have improved since, but I'm still disinclined to buy any luxury goods off the site.

Thanks for the reply about B&H.

Regarding gift cards: I've had one issue with a bogus card, where True Religion wouldn't accept it. The site refunded my money.

If someone were to PM me, I'd give them a link to gift card site(s). And yeah, if someone signs up on my referral and buys a card, I get a small referral bonus. But I'm not trying to sell anything. Test it: PM me and see if I try to sell you something.

My Conquests should be coming in today. I'll post a pic soon.

If I am trying to run some scam here, I'm epically bad at it, seeing as I'm down $800 presently.

Palantas,

Actually, your UP one very Nice Conquest HD...Congrats!!!

BTW, Welcome to BF. IMHO, you should ask the Mods where to "advertise", as possibly the section called "Ruffled Feathers" would be a more appropriate area for your type of GC business "solicitations"?

Hopefully, you will enjoy the virtues your investment (Zeiss) offers!

Ted

Cabela's: Swarovski 8X32 EL SV $1,759.88

Cabela's is listing limited stock of the prior pre Profield Swarovski 8X32 EL SV for $1,759.88. The new Profield version normally sells for $2,199.99. Both are supposed to be optically unchanged.

I could not get a direct link to work do to the Viglink software used by the forum. So, go to the Cabela's home page and put the mouse cursor on the Bargain Cave near the top. Then from the drop down menu click on View All. Select Optics from the left side, then binoculars. Scroll down the listing to find the Swaro on sale.
