Any reason this isn't S. maurus? Small orange breast patch, large white neck patch, white rump and black underwing coverts.

It's a Stonechat all right. Question is which ssp.? Any pics of the tail when fanned out?

Hi Roland, thanks for your reply! This is the best I can do, for what it's worth I didn't notice any white on the tail!

No, but it does have a clean white rump.

Rump - I was referring to the 4th image in the 1st post. Sorry not to make that clear.

A worn rubicola, those birds are often confused for Siberian/Eastern birds in spring. Note the black marks to the tips of the uppertail coverts and dirty flanks.
