We will be traveling to the Destin area for a few days in the near future. I will probably have only 1 day to go birding so I am looking for locations to try and see certain species. We are looking for Red-cockaded & Pileated WP, Burrowing & Barn Owl, Wilson's or Snowy Plovers, Painted Bunting, both Whistling ducks and any Kites. I have tried the FLA Birding trail but would like to hear of the hotspots from some of the locals. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
