I think its a Euler's FC. The head is round and the wing bars on this bird is buff, whereas Tropical pewee has white wing bars and a conical head. There is also a faint orbital ring that TP lack but is present in EFC.

edit: Added my shots of the fellow

Not sure what it is. What strikes me about the initial images is a very large bill, more Myiarchus than Contopus. Some other details detract from that impression, so I am a little stuck.

Could be. I found a few pictures with the dark curved stripe from the base of the beak though not as pronounced as our bird.

Another feature is the overall drabness of the bird and the two-toned beak (dark above, pale below). Notice they all have that very faint orbital eye ring and a faint supercilum that is more visible at the front and almost disappears as it gos over the eye. They all have that upright posture also.

The behaviour of perching very low is also characteristic of Euler's FC.

I've attached photos of a few local Euler's FCs I've seen over the past year to compare.

As the T&T guide says sometimes the wing bars can be white or buff. The one with the moth was in Tortuga (20170315), the second one in the northern range (20170602), and the 3rd on the horizontal bamboo was in Grand Riviere recently (20180310). It seems to be a widespread but very uncommon FC here.
