Just a Herring Gull? Musselburgh, Scotland 25/1/20 (1 Viewer)

Dundee Birding....(target 150 in 2024).
Scotland
Photographed a Herring Gull like bird with a dark eye and what appears to be a long-ish bill at Musselburgh, east of Edinburgh in Scotland early today (25/1/20). Is it just a Herring Gull or could it potentially be something a bit more interesting? (It was the dark eye that made me look again at the bird and take these photos).
