How can I find a Baltimore Oriole? (1 Viewer)

I live near Baltimore, and have been an Orioles (the baseball team) fan for years.

I just moved to a new house next to Patapsco State Park, and I enjoy feeding the cardinals, blue jays, downy woodpeckers, brown-headed cowbirds, finches, squirrels :C and who-knows-what else stops by. But where are my Orioles? I'd be excited to see just one!

Referring to your list it seems that feed only grain, put a cut in half orange on your feeder to atract them. That´s the way I saw it in Canada with great success.

This is my first summer to try an oriole feeder with nectar. I started about a month or six weeks ago, and now I have probably have 4-5 sightings a day.

Here's a couple of photos at my feeder...might give one a try.

Good luck.

Tommy

Concerning the pics above, I have learned from a forum member, Lisa W, about the commercial nectars and red dye. I now make my own at a 4:1 water to sugar ratio.
