Opticron service (1 Viewer)

About 5 years or so ago I bought a pair of 8x20 DBA Oasis which have been extensivly used on kayaking and hill-walking trips - abused is actually a more representative description as I managed to scratch the objectives a bit when cleaning off salt water splashes, and I've never been especially careful with them.

One of the hinges has always been a little loose, even from new, and the diopter adjustment was ever so slightly off.

Anyway, I sent them off to Opticron for the hinges to be sorted and commented also on the diopter adjustment and scratches.

Within a week they were returned, hinges adjusted and (I think) new objectives fitted, or at least the scratches have been removed! The diopter problem was also sorted.

- - and best of all, no charge!

Now that is what I call SERVICE. And they are an excellent little pair of bins.

Mike.

I can only add that many years ago I had some reason to think my Opticrons were not focusing correctly and I sent them away via a local agent. They were returned in only a week or so and everything then worked perfectly - also free of charge; its nice to learn that some companies still take customer satisfaction seriously.
