Hello - though I must have had some interest in birding for a while (hence my join date) I've never got very serious about it. This is changing to some extent, and I'm now regularly walking around the countryside and local estuaries (Stour, Orwell) seeing what I can see.
My interest in birds is very much as a part of the community of plants, fungi, animals etc. that make up our ecosystems. Though they are super-beautiful in their own right.
I'm keen to pick up any advice you may have about equipment, birding sites, and technique, that you may be able to share. I'm particularly keen to improve my bird ID skills.
