Thinking about buying one myself. The one that has caught my eye is the Panasonic GS65. See http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content/Panasonic-PV-GS65-Camcorder-Review.htm. Can buy in America for 400 dollars. Not sure what your price range is. My experience of jvc in the past is good but a little lightweight - would buy one if the price was right though......
Yes. That camera looks very promising, especially for videoscoping with the 10x optical zoom and 3CCD's. I'm walking the edge right now as to whether I want to buy a camcorder with a high optical zoom (like the 32x on the new JVC) and maybe use a high-quality teleconverter for a little extra boost, or just stick with videoscoping and get a nice camcorder with a lower optical zoom (like the 10x on the Panasonic) for attaching to a scope. Driving me crazy. I know this forum is for videoscoping, but with these higher optical zoom cameras is anyone else tempted to leave the scope and just try the camcorder? What are other people thinking along these lines?
