I live about 40 miles from the Atlantic coast on the edge of a marsh off Chesapeake Bay ..and, ~100 crow's miles SE of Washinton DC.

I cobbed together some bits around my shop to make a disk. I bought a PoP mike for ~U$12 from Amazon to use with my iPhone 6. I have revised my dish to help get rid of the 'oil drum' effect I was getting by adding rubber to the backside.

It is fun messing with this...
