Birding has not been good. We have been under almost constant rain this month. The ground is saturated at this point with such a wet winter. Expectations are now up to 7-8 inches of rain during the next 7 days. To the point there is no end date listed for flood warnings, they just go on and on. Have been getting out some but nothing new except the following. The one bright spot was today I located my nemesis bird.....Red Throathed Loon. I have chased this bird in Florida, California, and now Tennessee. Always a day late. Well today in rain (of course) I got lucky. Unfortunately, a heavy mist, and clouds prevented anything beyond crappy ID shots. But great looks through scope was the payoff. The sun will shine again some day in Tennessee. Think i might go visit friends in Florida soon.
