Hi,

I took these pictures on my trip to Tangier Island in the Chesapeake Bay today (May 25, 2019). Here are my thoughts:

1-2: Common Tern? This would be sweet, it's a bird that eluded me for a long time
3: Semi-p Sandpiper?

What do you think? Thanks in advance.

Howard

I am not all that convinced that the tern is a Forster's. To me its upper wing appears to be uniformly gray, its bill reddish, and its tail short. I suspect it is a Common Tern, but I am also not 100% confident.
