Red-tailed hawk I believe, some of the markings are different than the examples I have found. Request confirmation of red-tailed hawk or correct ID. Yesterday, Palacios, TX (Texas Gulf Coast)

A red-tailed hawk indeed. Note how it has the belly-band.

I an not sure what it is, but lack of a dark patagitum make me think it is not a Red-tailed Hawk.

Not a Red-tailed. If it weren’t for the absence of the characteristic dark wrist markings, I’d say Osprey.

It was flying low and slow, much like a harrier.

Not a Red-tailed. I see this as a light morph Swainson's Hawk. Probably 2nd year still retaining most juvie plumage.

Agree with juv or sub-adult light morph Swainson's Hawk.
