Bewick's swan, firecrest? (2 Viewers)

Mrs. Moadib has a couple of year target birds she was really hoping to see, being Bewick's swan and firecrest. In Scotland there is limited chance, but we were thinking to pop down into north-west area of England (going right down to Slimbridge or such is too much of a trip, as we were hoping to do over a Sat/Sun).

Are there any locations which would be recommended for those species? Around Leighton Moss has seemed good for Bewick's, but patchy. Firecrest seems maybe even harder, around Conwy area has sightings, but generally scarce.

Any recommendation much appreciated.

Thanks
