Help with Adaptor (1 Viewer)

Hi I am a digiscoping newbie and must say I am enoying it but it is not quite what I expected. I am using a Kowa 883 with 20-60 eyepiece and a Nikon p5100.I am using the Kowa DA10 with an adapter marked "for Nikon p5000 52 mm". It fits but I am wondering, as it is not the recommended UR-E20 step down ring, and it is for a p5000, if this is likely to make any difference to my results? Also there is a lot of movement around the camera and scope. I am using Manfrotto 055CX3 legs and a 700 RC II head... are these in your opinion adequate or can I get better. I would of course welcome your thoughts. I am happy to publish pics here but there are some on the blog link below. Many thanks
