Waxwings in East Yorkshire? (1 Viewer)

I'll be visiting family this coming weekend for New Year and I know my dad would love to see some waxwings. Can anyone direct me to a reliable spot where we might have a chance of finding some in the Filey-Bridlington-Hornsea-Driffield area?

Many thanks
Nick

Hi Nick

It might be difficult as virtually all have left coastal areas to aggregate in the conurbations of South/West Yorkshire. Over the last week there has just been a party of ten in the middle of Scarborough (but they haven't proved twitchable) and a fly-over at Flamborough and that's your lot.

All the best

Craig
