Extremely new to digiscoping , and ordered the above part for my Nikon , and also recieved from a fellow BF member the other part needed to fix to to the scope.

I'm confused! do I remove the ring from the base of the camera lens , and screw the sleeve adaptor on as it's a very tight fit and I'm concerened I'll damage it?

Any advise very much appreciated. Regards , lee.

I should add , everything fits , but it all seems a bit loose and i'm worried the camera will fall off.
It seems I have to hold it in place , which seems to defeat the object.?

An update to this is that viewing the net it seems I do have to remove the "Knurled protective ring" but its stuck fast and I dont want to force it!

anyone else have similar problems removing this part?

I use a p6000 and this knurled ring comes off ok on mine! Only advice is go for it! What's the worst that could happen?

Nope! I'm putting a lot of force into trying to remove this protective ring , and it wont budge a millimeter. Oh well! Thanks for youre input bartolli.
