Have planned our first visit to Norfolk Broads. (We will be in our small motorhome.) from the 18th July to the 26 July. We would like to take photographs of STONE CURLEW, LITTLE GULL, BLACK TERN and SWALLOWTAIL: BUTTERFLY, and any other key species. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Stone Curlew have been showing well from the hide at Weeting Heath and should allow photographic opportunity, Titchwell has Little Gulls on Freshmarsh at the moment but quite distant. Black Tern could be seen from the coast watch points like Titchwell Beach or Cley coastguards ( I saw one at Titchwell last weekend and think one has been seen at Cley since.) but I guess photographic chances will be limited here and I think you might miss the Swallowtails but I did see them at Strumpshaw Fen a couple of weeks back. Hope it helps and good luck. Brian:t:

ps.Early morning best for the Stone Curlew as you get quite a heat haze by mid morning.
