Photoshop Elements 6 (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I've been using Adobe Camera Raw to process raw files from my canon EOS 400D and got on really great with it.
My problem is that I've now upgraded to a 40D and am still using Photoshop cs2 so camera raw wont work with the raw files from my camera.
I can't afford to upgrade to cs3 and was wondering if Elements is a realistic alternative. To be honest the work I was doing in photoshop was fairly basic (It's on my PC because my son upgraded when he went to study photography at University else I may have gone for something cheaper anyway!).
Any help would be appreciated before I commit cash to something.

Simple answer - yes, Elements should be fine for you. Many people use the full version of Photoshop but only actually use features that would be available in Elements!

The link below is a chart comparing CS2 to Elements 5 but should give you the idea!

CS2 vs Elements 5
