Hi, anyone got any tips for sites to see swallow species in Guatemala in the last week of September, especially Black-capped swallow and Mangrove swallow?

thanks

Nick

Although I haven't been to Guatemala, Mangrove Swallow in other parts of its range is pretty common in the vicinity of lowland rivers, lakes, mangroves, and estuaries. According to Howell and Webb, Black-capped Swallow is fairly common in most habitats of the highlands. These are two species I don't think you will have too much trouble seeing.

Hi Nick
Both are pretty easy to get. Black-capped Swallow is found around the town of Antigua, which is a major tourist spot. Mangrove should be easy enough anywhere on the coast. My website (see below) gives a number of sites for each.
