Hi,

Quick question, does anyone know what the AFOV is of the DTL40829, the low mag eyepiece with lots of eye relief?

Many thanks!

Hi,

part number 40829 is an older adapter ring...

https://www.optiline.no/opticron-okularadapter-mm2v1-hrz

I guess you mean 40929 which is a 42mm EP for which no afov given, but with the eyelens diameter of 31mm and eye relief of 38mm from

http://opticron.boson.posiweb.net/Pages/lowmag-eyepieces.htm

we get sth between around 40 deg for a pupil size of 3mm - formula from

http://www.mira.org/ascc/pages/lectures/fabform.htm

If you use larger sensors, you have to take the sensor diameter instead of the pupil size.
