I'm
currently looking for a new triopd to support my newly purchased canon 500f4. I can see its going to be expensive as I'm 6' 6'' (1.98m) tall. At the moment all I can see is the Gitzo 3541xls which goes upto 1.98m without cente column, does anyone know of any alternatives or better choices?

Dont forget that once you have added a suitable head, it will add another 6 - 8 inches to the height.

Rob.

I think you may be right with your choice Kevin. I've got the 3540LS and it wouldn't be high enough for you.
