Searched up many databases of malaysian birds and couldn't find one. Possible shrike, with the black bandit band and all...

I don't have any of my books handy, but I'm 90% sure that is not a shrike. I'm sure some helpful folks will come along momentarily with the answer.

It's a Pied Triller. Size is 17-18 cm, so I think you overestimated a little!
