Hooded Mergansers Christmas in Charlotte (1 Viewer)

Over the past few weeks, I've seen two pairs of Hooded Mergansers on the small pond near my house. The pond is probably only an acre or two in size, and is located in a wooded area. The HM appear to have settled in for a while. I have seen them on several occasions; but twice, they were either absent or well hidden from view.
