Pale bird, Isle of Skye, UK

I saw this pale bird at Camastianavaig on the Isle of Skye in June 2013, and have no clue as to what it might be. It was about the size of a greenfinch; its flight was straight (not sinusoidal like a finch); it spent quite a lot of time in the grass, where it moved by hopping. Any idea what it might be?

Leucistic House Sparrow was my first thought. (though I was heading Linnet-wards on the 2nd photo!)

Thanks, Jane and Tony. I see you've already had a leucistic house sparrow id request from Skye this summer.
