This is a lovely site by the Dutch society for the protection of birds. It's been active for years, and each year there are different birds, and also some returning fan favourites.

it's a little late in the season, but what a season it has been!

https://www.vogelbescherming.nl/beleefdelente/bosuil the tawny owls have two well developed young at this point.

https://www.vogelbescherming.nl/beleefdelente/havik a pair of goshawks took over an old golden eagle nest, while the eagles took over their old nest. House swap! Their 4 fluffy babies still have a long way to go.

https://www.vogelbescherming.nl/beleefdelente/kauw A pair of jackdaws have hijacked the barn owl nest. Things are hard for them, only one of their 5 chicks is still alive.

https://www.vogelbescherming.nl/beleefdelente/ooievaar the white storks have 4 young of very dramatically different sizes.

https://www.vogelbescherming.nl/beleefdelente/steenuil There are two cams of different little owl nests.

https://www.vogelbescherming.nl/beleefdelente/slechtvalk The first peregrine falcon nest failed after events of soap opera proportions, but a second nestcam shows a successful breeding attempt on a Dutch royal airforce base.

Unfortunately, no breeding success for the great tits, kingfishers and barn owls. Better luck next year!
