Olympus Macro Lens - MCON-40 (1 Viewer)

Hi - Since I have been getting more and more interested in dragonflies and butterflies, I am interested in hearing anyone's opinions or thoughts on this macro lens. I am pretty happy w/ the results I am currently getting but the camera seems sort of fussy about focusing when you get too close to your subject. Wonder if this helps out a great deal or is not worth bothering with. You can find it online w/ the adapter for around $100, so maybe it's worth a try.

Norm - Thank you! I will go check that out. I was beginning to think no one would ever respond to that post! Very nice of you to look that up for me :)

Just checked the link I gave. I've no idea what they're on about. The first to respond gave a spelling mistake for his thread. Presumably the B-Macro is an earlier lens (or maybe just an earlier name like B300 vs TCON-17). Here's link to thread he almost mentions :

Maybe you can get some sense out of them. Pictures are nice though. Here's a link to a bit on the B-Macro.

BTW only just today discovered the dpreview forum on "other digicams" has been virtually exclusively on the Panasonic DMC-FZ1 for the last few months.

Good luck with your investigations on the MCON.
