Some Key statistics (1 Viewer)

Ferran Gil of Lynx Edicions has kindly supplied me with some statistics re the Key. At present the total entries number 29,119. Of these 11,120 are generic names (including variants), and 18,099 are specific names (including variants). Those letters with the most numerous entries are P with 1,639 generic entries, and c with 1,979 specific entries.
Note, however, that the number of actual names is far greater than these, since, for example, the header entry carolinense / carolinensis / caroliniana / carolinianus / carolinus counts as one not five different names for the purposes of this statistic.
