"The BBC Natural History Unit has long been regarded as a centre of excellence for the production of programmes about the natural world. So why has it taken it so long to produce a major series about the most abundant and diverse group of animals on the planet? The history and evolution of the series will be examined and exclusive clips will provide an unmissable insight into the high tech approaches that take us ever closer to this fascinating world.

"Don't miss this opportunity to view exciting video clips and hear all about the filming of David Attenborough's brilliant new series.

"Please join us for light refreshments in the museum gallery after the talk."
