Flying Ant? Northeast, USA (1 Viewer)

Found these guys emerging by the hundreds or more from a rotted tree stump. Was the first nice day after about a week of rain. There was some wind though, and they seemed to take advantage of it, as the wind was pushing them along moreso than their ability to fly. Was just wondering if it was a type of ant or termite?
