Sorry to disagree marie, but Spotted Sandpiper only has an all orange bill in summer, it is all dark with a yellow/orange base in winter. Moreover, this bird is clearly entering winter plumage, with just a few spots left on the breast.

I'm sorry my book didn't show any dark bills. I stand corrected. This most likely will not be the last time I'm wrong.
