Found bird nests on the ground today. (1 Viewer)

I have another question today.

We found 3 nests on the ground in our yard today (we live on an acreage surrounded by trees). They were not finished but perhaps half done. Consisted of horse hair and fabric (stuffing) wrapped in circles.

Where do you suppose these came from? Could another bird have destroyed them to get competition out of the way?

Thanks =)

Has it been windy?
