Why is that that after I observed it for an hour, there was no iridescence despite any and every angle that I see it from?

Perhaps a worn individual with the iridescent parts of the feather having worn off. On the photo it looks like there is a little iridescence around the leading edge of the wing, but most would not be visible at this angle.
