Where to stay in the Cairngorms? (1 Viewer)

Looking for a base from which to explore the Strathspey area in October. Is there anywhere you'd recommend? I was thinking somewhere around the Boat of Garten or Nethy Bridge areas. Ideally sleeping no more than 4 people as there will only be two of us and if they have a garden which has birds, red squirrels and, if we're lucky, pine martens that would be awesome! Regards, Nicola.

I stayed at this place (about a mile out of Nethy Bridge) through work for a few weeks last October-December: http://www.mondhuie.com/ Frequent Red Squirrels in the garden and Crested Tits on the feeders. They sometimes get Pine Marten - not sure how frequently and I didn't see any, though I wasn't looking that hard and it looks well-placed for them.
