Night Vision Binoculars (1 Viewer)

I am looking to purchase a good night vision binocular for monitoring owls.
A couple of products have been suggested, does anyone have any first hand expierience of these products or recommend an alternative?

Bushnell Digital Stealth View 5 x 42
Yukon Ranger Digital pro 5 x 42

Thanks Ian Littlewood

Hi Ian,

First off, neither of the 2 models that you mention are binoculars but they are in fact Monoculars. They look like Bioculars from the front because they seem to have 2 lenses but in fact one is the optical lightgathering lens and the other is is the IR illuminator.

For your information, the Yukon Ranger is best. The Bushnell model is in fact also made by Yukon and rebadged as Bushnell. Take my word for it, Yukon do not make better products for other people. The Stealth View is like a budget version of the Ranger.

Cheapest ive seen it here http://www.amazon.co.uk/28041-RANGER-5x42-DIGITAL/dp/B000HZT88I/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=sports&qid=1207500735&sr=8-1
