Sykes's wagtail? North Italy (1 Viewer)

Hi everyobody,

yesterday I saw a Citrine Wagtail in Monza, north Italy. A very rare bird, which was in the middle of other wagtails. One of these seems to me a ssp. Beema, called Sykes's warbler. What do you think about it?
Thank You.

Marco

phenotypically yes. but if it is indeed the true one...with these yellow wags being extremely variable i don't know if it even is possible to ID a sykes's wagtail in a western european context.

Yep, hard to say it's not a slightly abnormal flava - but then again, if Citrine Wags from central Asia can turn up regularly on spring passage in Europe, why not central Asian Yellow Wag subspecies too?
