Opticron Digiscoping Kit Update (1 Viewer)

Birds? What Birds?!
Hi all

Just to keep you up to date, the Opticron Panasonic digiscoping kits have just been updated to include the DMC-FS18 camera, replacing the DMC-FS16 which has now gone end of life with Panasonic.

Cheers, Pete

Pete,
I know these cameras are "good value for money" but I would be concerned that the screen resolution is poor for establishing good scope focus, which makes it a challenge for a beginner. What is the price point for this type of bundle?
Neil

We sell the kit at £239 including VAT. That gets you the camera (complete retail pack), camera mount, push fit adaptor and 4GB SD card.

The majority of these kits are sold by specialist optical retailers such as In Focus and Focus Optics. They will take the time to demonstrate how to use the kit at the time of purchase so most people get a good sense of how easy (or difficult) to use the set up is.

Would be interested to hear the views of users of the kit about the point you've made.

Cheers, Pete
