Various New World ID questions (1 Viewer)

I don't want to pollute this forum with my endless questions for ID, but on the other hand I also want to tap into the local expertise, because apparently my problems are already hard enough so that on Facebook groups, everyone ignores them. So I decided to vomit a lot of things from two only marginally interconnected continents into one thread so that people can ignore it summarily without too much effort :)

For reference, I suggest we address the pictures with a letter/number combination based on the posts.

A1-4: Kanagaroo Rats from Carrizo Plain, CA, USA - I suppose they are Giant, but Heermann's and San Joaquin occur there too. I tried to put a measuring stick in place and compare to photos, but everything comes out nonsensical when the animal is not stretched in hand.

A5: Ord's Kangaroo Rat? Canyonlands, UT, USA

B1: Ord's or Merriam's Kangaroo Rat, Buenos Aires NWR, AZ, USA - probably unIDable?

B2: White-throated or Mexiacan Woodrat? Chiricahuas, AZ, USA

B3: Desert Pocket Mouse? Joshua Tree, CA, USA

B4-5: bats from Arches, UT, USA - the small brighter is maybe Canyon?

Moving on to South America (Argentina, specifically) and "foxes" - the variability makes it a killer problem and everywhere there are at least two species in range:

C1: Near Salinas Grandes, NW of Cordoba: Pampas and SA Gray possible
C2: Sierra de las Quijadas, San Luis: Pampas and SA Gray possible
C3-4: Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego: Andean and SA Gray possible
C5: Malargue, Mendoza: Andean and SA Gray possible

Another pressing issue is Guinea Pigs, namely the problem of Galea musteloides (leucoblephara) vs. Microcavia australis as they are just too damn similar and everyone and their grandmothers seem to be utterly confused about their ID.

D1 - El Leoncito NP, Mendoza
D2-4 - around Malargue, Mendoza
D5 - Quebrada del Condorrito, Cordoba

And finally the horror of Armadillos: Large Hairy vs. Pichi - Vladimir Dinets said in a FB post that you have to touch the shield to see if it's sharp ... do you really?

E3: Malargue, Mendoza

I can't help with the IDs, but have you thought of asking for assistance here:

https://www.mammalwatching.com/

Good luck

John

Hehe, just today I found out that there is actual a possibility to post there. I always took it for moreorless Jon's personal page, but in the slightly confusing design is hidden a fully functional forum. I'll probably try that, however I have already reached a sizeable part of that community on Facebook and got very little feedback - I am afraid that the things that I have undecided are generally pretty though.
