The Snow Wolf: A Winter's Tale (1 Viewer)

I feared the worst when I read the blurb about this - a dramatisation of a wolf's winter journey. But it features some spectacular footage including conflict between wolves and a bear over food. This programme is set in the Alps and the Dolomites.

That being said, I believe some of the footage might be of trained animals.

It's on BBC2 now but will be on iPlayer later.

Edit:

Just read this in the blurb:

"Filmed using habituated animals and animatronics, this is an enchanting and action-packed dramatised Christmas treat, featuring one of the toughest creatures on Earth." So I guess there was no bear/wolf conflict after all.

Think that kind of conflict is built in, certainly normal in Yellowstone Park.
In spring, hungry grizzly bears coming out of hibernation routinely chase wolf packs off kills. The wolves don't like it, but the bears are too risky for them.
